GALVESTON — The Third Annual Galveston Island Country Music Fest will take place Saturday, January 24, at the Galveston Island Convention Center, located at 5600 Seawall Blvd., according to the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The event will feature performances by the Brandon McDermott Band and The Jetties, who will open for Texas country duo Dos Borrachos. Doors open at 6 p.m., with live music, games, and entertainment scheduled throughout the evening.
The Brandon McDermott Band, based in Galveston, has been performing along the Texas Gulf Coast for several years. The band released its second full-length album, Across The Causeway, which includes the single “43rd and R” and a guest appearance by Ray Wylie Hubbard.
Also performing are The Jetties, a dance hall country band formed in 2020. The band’s members include Jared Waggoner, Justin Catrett, Jojo Kline, Jeff Birmingham, and Courtenay Winson. The group is based in Galveston County and performs regularly in the region.
Headlining the event will be Dos Borrachos, made up of Kevin Fowler and Roger Creager. The duo released their album Uno Mas in June 2025 and is known for collaborative performances featuring material from both artists’ catalogs.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a brief annual meeting and awards presentation at 6:30 p.m. Music performances will continue afterward. In addition to live music, the event will include games, vendors, food, and drinks.
Proceeds from the event will support the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce and its efforts related to business and community development.
