LEAGUE CITY — A shooting suspect wanted in connection with an attack on a homeless person in Oklahoma City was apprehended Monday in League City, according to the Galveston County Precinct One Constable’s Office.

Authorities said the Galveston County Precinct One Constable’s Office assisted the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force in locating and arresting Manuel Robinson on January 5.

Robinson was wanted in Oklahoma City for allegedly shooting a homeless individual. After the incident, investigators said Robinson traveled to Texas in an effort to evade law enforcement.

During the afternoon hours Monday, members of the U.S. Marshals Service task force, along with deputies from the Precinct One Constable’s Office, located Robinson at an apartment in League City, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Robinson is currently being held in the Galveston County Jail while awaiting extradition to Oklahoma City.

Officials said the Galveston County Precinct One Constable’s Office continues to work with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to locate and apprehend violent offenders and maintain public safety.
