PEARLAND — A Pearland man has been arrested and charged in connection with multiple indecent exposure incidents reported in the area, according to the Pearland Police Department.
Police said officers were first dispatched around 12:15 p.m. on January 2 to a parking lot in the 11000 block of Shadow Creek Parkway after a woman reported an indecent exposure incident. The victim told officers she was sitting in her vehicle eating lunch when a blue SUV parked next to her. The male driver exited the vehicle, stood outside, and exposed himself while staring at her, police said.
The victim described the suspect as a Black male between 40 and 50 years old, bald, and wearing glasses. She was also able to provide the license plate number of the suspect’s vehicle.
On January 6, Pearland police were contacted by the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office regarding several similar indecent exposure cases in the area. Investigators determined that the same vehicle and license plate were connected to multiple incidents.
The suspect was identified as Damond Linsey, who police said is a registered sex offender.
Investigators later obtained dash camera video footage from the January 2 incident. Police said the video clearly showed the suspect and the vehicle, and investigators confirmed both matched Linsey and the vehicle registered in his name.
After reviewing the evidence, the Brazoria County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges.
On January 8, Linsey was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, a state jail felony due to two prior convictions, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who believes they may have been a victim or who has additional information is encouraged to contact the Pearland Police Department Criminal Investigations Tip Line at 281-997-4211.
