LEAGUE CITY — A Houston man was arrested Saturday morning after police say he fired shots at another man at a League City gas station.
According to the League City Police Department, officers responded around 9:15 a.m. on January 10 to a report of shots fired at the Chevron gas station at the intersection of Alabama Avenue and East Main Street.
When officers arrived, they located the victim, who told police he was seated inside his vehicle when a man he knew, later identified as Michael Huffman, fired shots in his direction. Police said the victim was not injured.
Investigators said Huffman, 39, fled the scene on foot immediately after the shooting. About 11 minutes later, officers located him walking nearby and took him into custody without incident.
Huffman was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $40,000.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information related to the incident is urged to contact the League City Police Department at 281-332-2566.
