Texas City Police Arrest Three Men in Online Child Exploitation Investigation

TEXAS CITY — Three Houston men were arrested Thursday, as part of an online investigation targeting individuals attempting to exploit minors, according to the Texas City Police Department.

Detectives in the department’s Criminal Investigations Division, working with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, identified several suspects involved in the online solicitation of minors. The men taken into custody include:

Juan Mondragon-Ramirez, 44, of Houston – charged with online solicitation of a minor, bond set at $80,000

Jose Perez-Lopez, 55, of Houston – charged with online solicitation of a minor, bond set at $100,000

Artemio Garcia, 56, of Houston – charged with online solicitation of a minor, bond set at $100,000

All three men are also on immigration holds. The investigation included support from the department’s Crime Scene Unit and Patrol Division. Authorities said the operation shows their ongoing mission to protecting children in the community.
