FRIENDSWOOD — A Friendswood man has been arrested following the burglary of a business at a shopping center along South Friendswood Drive, according to the Friendswood Police Department.
Police say the burglary occurred sometime between 2 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on January 23 in the 100 block of S. Friendswood Drive. An estimated $7,000 worth of power tools was reported stolen.
Officers gathered surveillance video from the area, which led investigators to identify a suspect and the vehicle believed to be involved. Police later located Jesus Ordaz, 49, of Friendswood, and recovered all of the stolen property.
Ordaz was arrested on January 23 and transported to the Friendswood Jail. The Galveston County District Attorney’s Office has charged him with burglary of a building.
