LEAGUE CITY – Families braved a cold Saturday night ahead of an incoming arctic freeze to celebrate a special tradition at the city’s Annual Daddy Daughter Dance.

The event took place Saturday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center on Walker Street, bringing fathers and daughters together for a night of music, dancing, and memory-making.

This year’s dance featured a 1990s theme, with attendees embracing the decade in different ways. Some arrived dressed in classic formal wear, while others leaned fully into the throwback style. Daughters showed up dressed like runway fashion models, while dads sported hip-hop-inspired outfits reminiscent of the era.

Inside, families enjoyed a live DJ, catered refreshments, and a popular 360-degree photo booth, giving many the chance to capture the night from every angle.

For some families, the Daddy Daughter Dance has become a cherished annual tradition. For others, Saturday night marked their very first time attending the event.

League City officials say the celebration will continue later this month, with the next Daddy Daughter Dance scheduled for January 30 at Hometown Heroes Park. Tickets for the upcoming event are available to both residents and non-residents and can be purchased through the League City website.
