KEMAH – A new business is officially on the way to Kemah. Community leaders, Chamber of Commerce members, and company representatives gathered for a ceremonial groundbreaking today for a new Quick Quack Car Wash location.
Kemah Mayor Robin Collins welcomed the project, thanking the company for choosing the city and expressing excitement about future growth in the area.
Chamber officials say the new development is a positive addition to the local business community and are looking forward to celebrating again when construction is complete.
Travis Kimball, co-founder of Quick Quack said the Kemah site will add to their growing presence across Texas and the Houston area. The company currently operates dozens of locations regionally and expects this new car wash to open in about six months.
Company representatives mentioned their focus on customer service and workplace culture, and they plan to hire locally as the opening approaches.
As part of their community outreach, Quick Quack says they will host a fundraiser before the grand opening, with proceeds benefiting a local family, individual, or nonprofit in need. Community members will be invited to submit nominations in the coming months.
The event wrapped up with a traditional dirt turning, marking the official start of construction. If all goes according to plan, drivers in Kemah will be able to roll through for a wash later this year.
