LA MARQUE — A narcotics investigation led to the arrest of a man and the seizure of multiple drugs and firearms during a warrant operation in Texas City, according to the La Marque Police Department.
Police say the department’s Crime Suppression Unit, assisted by the La Marque Police Department Special Response Team, executed a narcotics search and arrest warrant January 30 in the 7500 block of Medical Center Boulevard.
During the operation, officers located and detained Julian Franklin without incident. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of 586 grams of PCP, 42 grams of cocaine, 18 grams of MDMA that later tested positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl, 28 grams of Percocet, 12 grams of oxycodone, and two pistols, police said.
Franklin is charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, less than 400 grams in a drug-free zone; manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, 4 to 200 grams in a drug-free zone; and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. His total bond was set at $750,000, according to police.
The La Marque Police Department said it remains committed to combating illegal narcotics and protecting community safety.
