Expansion of Culinary Arts in Clear Creek ISD

LEAGUE CITY – Clear Creek ISD recently expanded its Career and Technical Education offerings with the grand opening of Feather and Fork, a new Culinary Arts program at Clear Lake High School. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Feb. 13 at the CCISD Learner Support Center, adjacent to the high school.

Previously, the Culinary Arts program was only available at Clear Springs High School. With the addition of this second site, more students across the district can gain hands-on experience in a fully equipped culinary environment. The program is designed to provide industry-based knowledge and real-world skills, giving students direct exposure to professional food service operations.

The Learner Support Center houses the District’s catering facilities, enabling students to collaborate with CCISD’s Nutritional Services and Catering Department. Participants in the program take part in day-to-day catering activities, offering practical experience that mirrors professional environments.

Clear Lake High School Principal Elizabeth Raska said the program provides students additional opportunities to explore their interests through skills-based learning, while Superintendent Dr. Karen Engle emphasized the expansion as a pathway to workforce readiness after graduation.

Applications for all CCISD CTE programs are open, with a priority deadline of Feb. 20. Students can apply online at ccisd.net/cte.
