TEXAS CITY – Families in Texas City are invited to enjoy a morning of outdoor fun and fishing this Saturday at Carver Park’s Kid Fish event.

The City of Texas City will host Kid Fish on February 21 from 8 a.m. to noon at the pond at Carver Park, stocked with hundreds of rainbow trout. While designed for children ages 6-12, attendees of all ages are welcome.

“This is a good event to get kids and families outside together without electronics, just creating memories and relaxing,” said Byron Sefcik, the city’s Parks Superintendent.

Participants can bring their own fishing rods or use limited equipment provided by the city. The first 150 attendees will also receive free hot dogs. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
