GALVESTON — The countdown to Lemonade Day Galveston County has officially begun, and families are encouraged to get children registered at the Step Up for Education Expo & Lemonade Day Galveston County Kickoff on Thursday, February 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Weis Middle School, 7100 Stewart Road.
As the first official event of the 2026 Lemonade Day season, this kickoff is a critical starting point for young entrepreneurs who want ample time to learn, plan, and prepare for success on Lemonade Day. The evening will feature student performances, music, giveaways, refreshing lemonade, and complimentary hot dogs provided by The Spot. Vendors and community organizations will also be on site, sharing information about their programs and businesses and engaging directly with families and future entrepreneurs.
The momentum continues on Saturday, February 21, when the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts an additional Lemonade Day Galveston County Kickoff in League City from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Perry Family YMCA, 1700 League City Parkway. Families are encouraged to stop by to register, pick up materials, and get their children started without delay.
On‑site registration will be available at both kickoff events, and families are strongly encouraged to sign up early to ensure participants receive the full benefit of the Lemonade Day curriculum. During these events, registered participants will receive their official Lemonade Day backpack and T‑shirt, along with access to the tools and curriculum needed to plan, launch, and operate their own lemonade stand.
Lemonade Day is open to youth ages 5 to 18 and teaches essential life and business skills, including goal setting, financial planning, budgeting, customer service, and entrepreneurship.
Lemonade Day Galveston County will take place Saturday, May 2. Early registration is strongly encouraged.
