League City Police Arrest Man for Modified Handgun and THC Products During Stop

LEAGUE CITY – Officers with the League City Police Department arrested 21-year-old Anthony Hall of Texas City early on February 25, following a traffic stop in the Pedregal subdivision, according to a police press release.

At approximately 1:16 a.m., K9 Officer Ramirez conducted a traffic stop on a gray Volkswagen Jetta near the intersection of Pedregal Road and West FM 517.

During contact with Hall, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A backup officer arrived, and a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted.

During the search, officers located a Glock 17 Gen 5 handgun equipped with a 30-round magazine. The firearm appeared to have been modified to allow the semi-automatic weapon to function as fully automatic.

Officers also recovered approximately 102 grams of THC vape products packaged for distribution, including multiple 2-gram cartridges labeled with high THC concentrations, stored in a briefcase and backpack.

Hall was taken into custody without incident and transported to the League City Jail. He faces charges of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 2, between 4 and 400 grams, with bond set at $70,000, and Prohibited Weapon, with bond set at $50,000.
