LEAGUE CITY — League City Police Department officers arrested 19-year-old Tyler Robinson on Thursday morning and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bond was set at $20,000.

Officers responded at approximately 9:04 a.m. to the 2700 block of W Marina Bay Drive after a report that a man driving a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee pointed a firearm at another driver before leaving the area.

Police located the vehicle westbound on W Marina Bay Drive and conducted a high-risk traffic stop in the 900 block of E. Main Street. Robinson was detained without incident, and officers observed a handgun in the driver-side door panel.

The victim reported that Robinson had tailgated him, then pulled alongside, rolled down the window, and pointed a handgun. The weapon and holster recovered from the Jeep matched the victim’s description.

The Galveston County District Attorney’s Office approved the aggravated assault charge. Robinson was booked into the League City Jail without incident.
