LEAGUE CITY – A League City man has been arrested after investigators say they found evidence of child pornography on electronic devices seized from his apartment.

According to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began in February 2026 when detectives received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Detective Espinosa with the sheriff’s office Major Crimes Unit began investigating the tip. On March 5, investigators with the unit, working with the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force, executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 300 block of North Wesley Drive in League City.

Authorities said several electronic devices were seized during the search. A forensic review of those devices later revealed evidence of child pornography, according to investigators.

The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Cameron Heald of League City, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to promote child pornography and possession of child pornography involving fewer than 10 visual depictions.

Jail records show Heald’s bond was set at $80,000 for the possession with intent to promote charge and $40,000 for the possession charge.
