LA MARQUE — A suspect has been arrested in connection with an April shooting investigation in La Marque, according to the La Marque Police Department.
Police said dispatchers received several calls April 17 reporting shots heard in the 200 block of Oak Street. Responding officers located a crime scene containing evidence consistent with a shooting.
Shortly afterward, authorities said HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland contacted dispatchers to report a victim had arrived at the hospital with apparent gunshot wounds.
Following what police described as an extensive investigation, detectives identified Terrin Young as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.
Authorities said Young was taken into custody May 8 and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $150,000.
Police said Young was also found to have two outstanding warrants connected to an unrelated incident for assault causing bodily injury-family violence.
