Beautiful Week Ahead
There is not too much to say with this forecast as a beautiful week is in store for Galveston County. Temperatures will climb and clouds will clear as the week goes on. Expect highs in the upper 80s with the potential for temperatures to reach the lower 90s later in the week. With the Gulf humidity, heat indices are expected to be in the upper 90s to lower 100s most days. Rain and storm chances are very limited during the work week, with an isolated rain shower or thunderstorm possible due to sea-breeze interactions, but higher chances won’t return until the weekend.
Update in the Tropics
The Pacific brought the first named tropical storm of the season on June 3rd, Amanda, which has weakened to a tropical depression and is 1,500 miles off the coast of Mexico.
The National Hurricane Center also highlights two other disturbances just off the coast of southern and southwestern Mexico in the Pacific, both with 70% chances of cyclone formation in the next 7 days.

Even though the Pacific is already quite active, tropical cyclone formation in the Atlantic is not expected over the next 7 days.

Have a great week and enjoy the beautiful summer weather!
