LA MARQUE — Authorities are investigating a shooting that left one person injured Sunday night at an apartment complex in La Marque.

According to the La Marque Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 8:40 p.m. on June 14 to the 1900 block of Main Street following reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they located a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

The La Marque Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene and is leading the investigation.

Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
