FRIENDSWOOD – A woman from Houston has been charged with theft of packages from a Friendswood address, according to the Friendswood Police Department.

Police said on Wednesday that Brandy Damico Schmidt was arrested on a Galveston County Warrant charging her with the crime of theft of mail (10 or fewer addresses).

According to investigators the charge comes from theft of two packages from the front porch of a home in the 300 block of Eagle Lakes Drive on June 16.

The Friendswood Police Department said investigators were able to collect evidence via a porch camera at the residence. The packages were recovered and returned to the rightful owner.

Schmidt was booked into the Friendswood City Jail and will be transferred to the Galveston County Jail. Her bond was set at $1500.
