TC/LA MARQUE — A driver was taken to the hospital after a car crashed through a subdivision fence early Saturday morning in La Marque.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. in the 2400 block of Bayrose Drive.

A silver four-door sedan left the roadway and crashed through a fence, coming to a stop near a home. The vehicle narrowly missed striking the house.

Police said the driver was transported to a hospital following the crash. The driver’s condition was not immediately available.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
