LEAGUE CITY — All seven Clear Creek ISD high schools received A ratings in the latest state accountability results as the district’s overall score increased by one point, according to CCISD.
The Texas Education Agency gave CCISD an overall accountability score of 89, earning the district a high B rating. The district received an 88 last year.
Among the results highlighted by CCISD, all seven of its high schools earned A ratings, including Clear View High School, the district’s dropout prevention campus. Clear View received a score of 96.
Superintendent Karen Engle credited students, teachers, staff and families for the results and said the district is aiming to improve its overall score to at least 90.
“Our goal this year is for a 90 or higher and we are certainly well within that reach,” Engle said.
CCISD said state accountability ratings represent one measure of student and district performance. The district also pointed to academics, career and technical education, early college opportunities, fine arts, athletics and other programs as part of its broader approach to education.
“While we celebrate these accomplishments, we remain focused on continuous improvement,” Engle said. “These results demonstrate we are making progress toward that goal.”
Individual campus and district A-F accountability ratings are available through the Texas Education Agency.
