TEXAS CITY — The Texas City City Commission will meet Wednesday the 23rd, for a special called meeting to consider the city’s ad valorem tax rate for the upcoming tax year.
The commission also will consider a memorandum of understanding between the city and the Texas City Municipal Police Association regarding lateral-entry police officers.
The Texas City Police Department also will provide a report and presentation on automated license plate readers.
The special meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Nessler Center, 2010 Fifth Ave. N.
