CLEAR LAKE SHORES — A 44-year-old man has been arrested in Galveston County after investigators say they found child pornography on multiple electronic devices during a search of his home.

The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, working with the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search and arrest warrant Monday at a residence in the 900 block of Marina Bay Drive, according to the sheriff’s office.

The operation stemmed from a cyber tip provided to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, authorities said.

Investigators identified the suspect as Elliott Muirhead, who faces several felony charges including possession of child pornography involving more than 50 depictions, possession of visual material depicting sexual assault, possession with intent to promote child pornography, and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Muirhead’s bond was set at $380,000.

The case remains under investigation.
