LA MARQUE – Felix Brown has announced he is running for the District B seat on the La Marque City Council in the 2026 election.

Brown says his campaign will focus on improving transparency and accountability in local government. He cites concerns about missing city funds and a lack of openness regarding the city’s budget and employee background checks as areas needing attention. Infrastructure, drainage, and city signage are also among his priorities.

“Listening to our citizens and treating them with dignity and respect will be one of my main focal points,” Brown said in an announcement. “La Marque has a lot of potential, but it will take a united effort to move the city forward.”

Brown added that while he cannot change the past, he plans to speak up on issues affecting residents.

“I want to live in a community, not just a neighborhood,” he said, noting that a strong community invests in its people and development.

Brown said flyers have been made, while he prepares to step out to meet residents in a candidate capacity.
