LEAGUE CITY – Police are investigating two threatening phone calls made to district high schools Thursday morning, that prompted precautionary security measures on multiple campuses.
According to the district, one call was made to Clear Springs High School from a person claiming to be on the way to the campus with a gun. A second call, placed within minutes of the first, targeted Clear Creek High School, with the caller claiming to be en route with a bomb.
As a precaution, Clear Springs High School, Clear Creek High School, Creekside Intermediate and Clear Creek Intermediate were placed in a “Secure” protocol around 11 a.m. Under the district’s Standard Response Protocol, exterior doors are locked and students and staff remain inside the building while classes continue as scheduled.
Sydney Hunt with Clear Creek ISD communications said the Secure has since been lifted at Clear Springs High School and Creekside Intermediate. Law enforcement officers remain on campuses as the investigation continues.
According to League City Officer Trevor Montero, Authorities believe the calls may be connected to a series of bomb threats reported in late 2025 and say the situation appears to follow a similar pattern. The investigation remains ongoing.
