The City of Kemah is inviting residents to take part in a community-wide cleanup later this month aimed at reducing litter and protecting local waterways, according to a press release.

Trash Dash Kemah 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event will begin at the Kemah Community Center, located at 800 Harris Avenue.

City officials say volunteers will be assigned cleanup areas throughout the city to collect litter and debris.

The city is aiming to recruit 200 volunteers for this year’s event and is encouraging community members, businesses and groups to sign up in advance.

Organizers say the cleanup supports ongoing efforts to reduce pollution and preserve the natural beauty of the area, particularly along the bay.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to participate. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.

Registration is available online through the city’s website.
