30 Clear Creek ISD students advance to state art competition

LEAGUE CITY – Thirty students from Clear Creek Independent School District have advanced to the state level of a prestigious art competition, officials announced.

The students qualified for the State Visual Art Scholastic Event, known as Visual Art Scholastic Event, a juried competition that evaluates both artistic skill and a student’s ability to explain their creative process.

According to district officials, more than 32,000 artworks were judged at the regional level across Texas during the 2026 competition cycle. Of those, just over 2,100 advanced to the state level.

District leaders say having 30 students advance reflects the strength of the district’s visual arts programs and the dedication of both students and teachers.

V.A.S.E., sponsored by the Texas Art Education Association, has recognized student artists across Texas for more than 30 years.

Students who receive an Exemplary rating at the state competition will earn a state medallion and be named All-State Artists. Their work may also be considered for the Gold Seal Award, the highest honor in the competition.

The following students will represent CCISD at the State V.A.S.E. event on April 25, 2026, in San Marcos.
