DICKINSON – A man has been charged with murder, months after a death investigation at a local home, according to the Dickinson Police Department.
Police say the charge stems from an incident on November 5, 2025, when officers responded to the 1700 block of FM 517 Road after receiving a 911 call regarding a death investigation. Upon arrival, officers found a 67-year-old man deceased inside the residence.
The case was turned over to investigators with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division, with assistance from the Galveston County Crime Scene Unit.
On March 26, 2026, authorities announced that 41-year-old Kenneth Jackson Jr. has been charged with murder, in connection with the death. The victim has been identified as his father, Kenneth Jackson Sr., 67, of Dickinson.
Police said Jackson Jr. is currently in custody at the Galveston County Jail on a separate narcotics charge. His bond on the murder charge has been set at $300,000.
The investigation involved multiple agencies, including the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Lab and the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office.
