GALVESTON- The Galveston Island Wine Festival has added a new chef to the lineup. Chef Trinidad “Machete” Gonzalez founder of Gordo Niños, and contestant of Next Level Chef will be bringing his skills to the festival.
According to a Moody Gardens press release the Wine Festival is held at Moody Gardens from September 4th through the 6th. Each day bringing in different activities for guests.
The weekend starts with the White Linen Seafood Extravaganza. This event collects chefs, like Gonzalez, having to make a seafood dish paired with high quality wines.
Saturday the activities go to the Aquarium pyramid for Penguins & Pinot: Grand Tasting, where guests will get to participate in wine tasting throughout the pyramid. Guests will also get the chance to taste food from local gulf coast restaurants.
The event concludes Sunday with the Wine Dinner. This is a multi-course meal with well-crafted meals paired with excellent wines.
There are other activities such as morning yoga, Beck Bubbles & Brunch, Tini’s and Bikini Pool Party, and Wine’d Down After Hours.
