
FRIENDSWOOD — Two Pearland men have been charged in connection with burglaries at two homes under construction where attic stairs were reported stolen, according to the Friendswood Police Department.
Police said the department received two burglary reports on June 30, 2026. The incidents occurred at homes under construction in the 2400 block of Barton Creek Trail Drive and the 2300 block of Friendswood Trail.
During the investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance video and were able to identify a suspect vehicle and the individuals allegedly involved, according to police.
Authorities arrested Leopoldo Garcia-Medina, 30, of Pearland, and Carlos Enrique Torres-Alvarez, 27, of Pearland. Both were charged with burglary of a habitation in Galveston County.
Police said each man’s bond was set at $75,000.
