LEAGUE CITY — Four juveniles have been charged with felony criminal mischief after investigators determined they were responsible for causing more than $5,000 in damage to Magnolia Creek Golf Club earlier this month, according to the League City Police Department.

Police said officers responded to the golf course on July 16 after receiving a report of extensive damage that had occurred the previous evening. Investigators determined the damage was caused by individuals riding e-bikes on the course without permission.

Following an investigation, detectives identified four juveniles believed to be responsible and filed criminal charges against them.

All four juveniles were taken into custody Tuesday, July 28, and later released to their parents, police said.

The League City Police Department credited members of the community who provided video footage and assisted investigators in identifying the juveniles.

Police also reminded residents that operating e-bikes, motorcycles or other vehicles on private property without the owner’s permission can result in criminal charges, including trespassing and criminal mischief if property is damaged. Officials encouraged riders to obtain permission before entering or operating vehicles on privately owned land.
