FRIENDSWOOD — Four people were charged Friday after Friendswood police said lawn equipment was stolen from a crew’s trailer and later recovered during a traffic stop in League City.

Police were called about 8:32 a.m. to the 2100 block of North Mission Circle, where a caller reported that three men had taken equipment from a lawn crew’s trailer and left in a white sedan, according to the Friendswood Police Department.

Using investigative tools, officers identified the vehicle and learned it was traveling toward League City on FM 518. About 17 minutes later, officers stopped the sedan at FM 518 and Bay Area Boulevard.

Police said officers recovered two weed trimmers and an edger matching the description of the stolen equipment. Other equipment believed to have been stolen was also found in the vehicle, and investigators are working with nearby law enforcement agencies to identify possible owners.

All four people inside the vehicle were taken into custody. The Galveston County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges of engaging in organized criminal activity against Aerius Banks-Behn, Makayla Wilburn, Deondre Keller and Dyki Keller. Bond was set at $40,000 each.
