TEXAS CITY – Fire crews battled a vehicle fire late Wednesday evening, which turned out to be a food truck under renovations, according to Texas City Fire Department.

It happened around 10:44pm, in the 9100 Block of Yellow Rose Drive. Captain Jason Grimm said it only took crews between 3-5 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

Minor injuries for the vehicle owner were reported, but were minor and were not related to the fire itself.

Fire officials suspect an electrical issue sparked the fire.
