SANTA FE – A police pursuit that began in Santa Fe shortly before midnight Saturday ended in a crash in Houston, according to eyewitness accounts and scanner traffic.

The pursuit involved a white pickup truck. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop in Santa Fe, but the driver reportedly fled, leading officers on a pursuit southbound along Interstate 45.

The pursuit ultimately ended in a crash near the intersection of Interstate 610 and Telephone Road.

According to scanner traffic, the driver survived the crash and was taken into custody. KGTX 7 is awaiting additional information from the Santa Fe Police Department regarding the circumstances of the pursuit and the driver’s identity.
