TEXAS CITY — Shoppers looking to round out their holiday gift lists will have a new place to browse this weekend. The Texas City Economic Development Corporation is launching its first-ever Vendor Holiday Market on Saturday, Dec. 13, beginning at 4 p.m. at the 6th Street Community Plaza.
The evening will wrap up with a free outdoor concert featuring the band Timeless HTX. The show begins at 7 p.m. and is part of the city’s ongoing monthly concert series held at the plaza.
Food trucks stationed at the plaza will remain open throughout both events.
The 6th Street Community Plaza, funded by the Texas City Economic Development Corporation, opened just three months ago but has already become a popular gathering spot. The site includes a playground, dog park, splash pad, food truck park and an amphitheater designed for community events.
Both the market and the concert are open to the public, and pets are welcome. Admission is free.
The plaza is located at 718 6th Street N. in Texas City. More information is available at the city’s website.
