Kemah Police Arrest Driver for DWI After Early Morning Crash on SH-146

KEMAH — A single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning along State Highway 146 left a minivan totaled and a utility pole snapped in half, according to Kemah police.

The crash happened around 3:19 a.m. in the 1400 block of SH-146, just before the Days Inn, Kemah Police Chief Raymond Garivey said. Officers, along with Kemah Fire and EMS, responded to the scene after a northbound minivan on the feeder road struck a pole.

The impact destroyed the vehicle and broke a telephone pole in half. No other vehicles were involved, and no injuries were reported.

The driver, identified as 43-year-old Danielle Larson, was arrested at the scene and charged with driving while intoxicated. She was later booked with a bond set at $2,500.
