DICKINSON – An overnight shooting in Dickinson left multiple people injured and drew a heavy law enforcement presence to the area.

Police were called just after 12:30 a.m. to the 2400 block of Avenue F following reports of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they located several individuals suffering from gunshot wounds near JT’s Lounge at 24th Street, with additional victims found further down the road near 25th Street.

The incident happened as a private birthday event at the lounge was wrapping up. According to a witness who spoke with KGTX 7, tensions escalated when a group began fighting, prompting her to run to the bathroom moments before gunfire broke out outside.

Investigators focused much of their attention about a block away from the business, where numerous shell casings were marked.

Authorities say the investigation now spans a wide area, covering roughly two blocks along Avenue F from 24th Street toward State Highway 3.
