LEAGUE CITY — Authorities have confirmed that a collision late Friday night at the intersection of FM 646 East and Dickinson Avenue resulted in only minor injuries and property damage, despite a large initial emergency response.

The incident occurred around 11:45 PM. While the presence of multiple police units and fire trucks initially suggested a more severe event, League City Police officials clarified Saturday that the scene was cleared without any major medical emergencies or fatalities.

The roadway, which was briefly blocked between the railroad crossing and Ohio Avenue to allow crews to move the vehicles, was fully reopened shortly after midnight. Investigators have classified the event as a minor traffic accident.

Correction: An earlier version of this story, based on preliminary dispatch reports and the initial scale of the emergency presence, indicated a more significant incident with potentially serious injuries. Following an update from the League City Police Department, it has been confirmed that the injuries were minor and no fatalities occurred. We have updated the article to reflect the official police report.
