Monday & Tuesday

Rain chances will remain low both Monday and Tuesday. I am only expecting a 30% chance of rain both days, with Monday being focused more in the morning. However, there is a possibility that storms don’t form at all due to the high pressure system still lingering over the area.

Above is the simulated RADAR at 11:00 AM today, but I think even this is being bullish. In reality, I am expecting only a shower or two today.

Temperatures will remain hot and muggy today and tomorrow, but there is some relief expected as we head into the end of the week.

Wednesday into the Weekend

Rain chances really begin to increase beginning Wednesday. An upper-level disturbance will push its way across Texas beginning Wednesday, and with it bringing increased moisture and ingredients favoring rain and thunderstorms.

I am expecting a widespread 1-3 inches of rain. I want to emphasize though that the possibility for higher amounts is possible, and will depend on the exact track that this storm system takes.

Temperatures will also begin to cooldown as a result of the abundant rainfall later this week. High temperatures will be in the 80s, with low temperatures in the lower 70s by this weekend. After this summer, I can imagine this will be very welcomed.
