The Week Ahead
After a pleasant weekend, the dry air has moved out and low level moisture is returning from the Gulf. Mostly sunny to partly sunny skies are in store throughout the week with highs hovering around 80 and lows dropping in the mid to upper 60s. A midlevel ridge of high pressure overhead will limit rain for now, but as it shifts east moisture and rain chances increase. There’s a small chance of showers Tuesday afternoon into the evening hours but the best chance for any showers and storms right now is early on Wednesday, west of I-45.
Halloween Outlook
Right now the spookiest day of the year looks to be mostly sunny with a high in the low 80s, but it comes with a slight chance of rain. There is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday and Saturday, so most of Galveston County should stay dry. That being said, keep a rain plan in mind for trick-or-treating and evening plans. Check back for updates as we get closer.
Some of the long-range models are hinting at a possible cold front around the end of the month or the start of November, but it is too soon to know the timing or how strong it would be, so don’t count on it yet!
Have a great week!
