SANTA FE – An elderly man was taken to a hospital Sunday afternoon around 3pm, after he was believed to have been stabbed in the 1100 block of Cemetery Road, according to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.

Capt. Tommy Maffei said the man’s injuries are not life-threatening. The location is outside the Santa Fe city limits.

As of 4 p.m., Maffei said the sheriff’s office Criminal Investigations Division and crime scene units were on their way to the scene.

Authorities have not released the man’s name or age, the hospital where he was taken, or what led to the incident. No information about a suspect or any arrests was provided.
