Local Man Arrested Following Narcotics Raid in Galveston

GALVESTON – A local Galveston man is now behind bars, after police seized illegal prescription medications and firearms during a raid on his home Tuesday.

According to a press release, Officers from the Galveston Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Unit, along with special operations personnel, served a search warrant at a residence in the 1100 block of Avenue M. During the search, they recovered Xanax, Promethazine, and three handguns.

John Roberson, 43, was arrested without incident and charged with multiple drug-related offenses. His bond was set at $350,000.

Chief Doug Balli said the arrest proves the department’s ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug activity in the community and keep residents safe.
