LEAGUE CITY – The streets are getting a splash of international flair, thanks to artist Adam Socie. Known for murals across the globe — from Russia to Siberia — Socie has been turning local walls into vibrant public art.

One of his most recognizable works, a fisherman near I-45 and FM 518, has become a local landmark. Now, Socie is adding a new project near the main League City Fire Station, this time celebrating music with murals of musicians and instruments.

“I really appreciate the fact that I can do things that my children can see,” Socie said. “When I travel, they can’t see those things.”

His artistic journey began with breakdancing, which led to graffiti, and eventually large-scale murals. Socie recently completed an eleven-story building in Siberia, yet he says painting locally carries a special meaning.

“My favorite mural is right down the street of the man fishing,” he said. “That’s actually a picture of my friend, who’s helping me today.”

For Socie, murals are about more than aesthetics. “I hope the community gets some kind of enjoyment seeing it on a daily basis,” he said. “I’ve been to Russia a lot, and all the buildings look the same — there’s no color. I’ve seen the difference in what color brings to people’s day-to-day lives.”

With each brushstroke, Socie is sharing a piece of his global experience while brightening the everyday lives of League City residents, one wall at a time.
