GALVESTON — Two 18-year-olds have been arrested after police say a man was assaulted and robbed late Thursday night in Galveston.

According to the Galveston Police Department, officers were called around 10:50 p.m. Thursday to the area of 35th Street and Avenue Q ½ for reports of an aggravated robbery.

When officers arrived, investigators learned two male suspects had allegedly assaulted the victim and taken the victim’s handgun.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Galveston Emergency Medical Services before being released.

After further investigation, officers developed probable cause and arrested 18-year-olds Clifton Harmanson and Jeremiah Sellers (mugshot not available) in connection with the case.

Both suspects were booked into the Galveston County Jail on aggravated robbery charges and are each being held on $40,000 bond.
