GALVESTON — The 2026 Juneteenth CrawFEST celebration is set to take place in Galveston this June, with events now planned at a single location, according to organizers.
The event, organized by the Augustus Foundation Inc. in partnership with several community groups, will be held from Thursday, June 18 through Sunday, June 21 at Kermit Courville Stadium.
Organizers say the four-day event will focus on celebrating Juneteenth through community engagement, culture, and entertainment.
The event was previously promoted as a multi-city celebration across Galveston County, including activities at parks and other public venues. However, organizer Amanda Foley told KGTX 7 that plans have since changed.
“As of right now there will be no activities for a parade or parks,” Foley said. “The only activities will be held at the Kermit Courville Stadium — four days June 18th thru 21, 2026.”
City officials in Galveston also confirmed that permits had not been approved for the originally planned activities in public spaces.
Additional details about specific programming and participation have not yet been released.
KGTX 7 will continue to follow updates related to the event as more information becomes available.
