A Sunday evening structure fire damaged multiple homes in a League City neighborhood, prompting a large response from area fire departments.
The fire broke out in the 2300 block of Jackson Lane. According to fire officials, crews were initially dispatched for an outside fire. When firefighters arrived, they found one structure fully involved, with flames spreading to a second home.
Firefighters launched an aggressive attack on the fire and were assisted by mutual aid crews from Webster, Friendswood, Forest Bend and Dickinson.
“Upon arrival, we observed one structure on fire and a second working its way to being on fire as well,” Bryan Holmes with LCVFD said. “Crews immediately went to attack the fire.”
Officials said the quick response from both League City firefighters and neighboring departments helped bring the fire under control.
No injuries were reported, and everyone inside the affected homes was able to evacuate safely.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
One homeowner told KGTX 7 they have already filed an insurance claim following the incident.
Fire crews remained on scene for more than an hour as they worked to extinguish hot spots and begin clearing the scene.
