Key Takeaways
- Frontal boundary moves offshore early Monday which will halt any rain chances until Thursday
- Highs will reach the mid 80s, overnight lows dropping into the low 70s
- Rain chances return by midweek through at least Saturday, especially along the coast
- The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a Gulf disturbance with a 40% development chance over the next seven days
The Week Ahead
Scattered showers and storms will linger in the area through this evening as the front pushes off the coast, keeping the best rain chances over the coast tonight.
Behind the front brings cooler and much drier air Monday through Wednesday. Highs will settle around the mid 80s across the area most of the week with overnight lows dropping in the low-to-mid 70s inland and high 70s near the coast.
Heading into the backend of the week and weekend, moisture levels begin climbing again as onshore flow returns. Rain and storm chances will increase Thursday through Saturday with coastal areas having the best chance to see any.
Tropics Update: Disturbance In Gulf

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a broad area of low pressure over the southwestern Gulf with a 40% chance of tropical development over the next seven days. While formation chances remain near zero in the next 48 hours, slow development is possible as the system drifts northward later in the week. This puts Galveston County and the upper Texas coast in a position worth watching as we head through the week. We will continue to provide the most current updates on this system as it approaches.
Have a great week!
