Five Arrested After Multi-State Industrial Theft Investigation

The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit has arrested five individuals connected to an organized theft ring operating across Texas and Ohio, concluding a months-long investigation that began with an August traffic stop in Galveston County.

Deputies initially stopped Michael Patrick, 41, who was found in possession of marijuana and various industrial parts believed to be stolen. Investigators later executed a search warrant at a residence on Bayou Road in La Marque, seizing industrial equipment, marijuana, THC wax, and several firearms.

Detectives determined much of the seized property had been stolen from industrial facilities in both Texas and Ohio. Following further investigation, five suspects were taken into custody on warrants for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity:

Michael Ryan Patrick, 41 — No bond
Antonio Garza, 45 — $1,000,000 bond
Ruth Patrick, 35 — $100,000 bond
Herve Yemey, 33 — $100,000 bond
Brad Edward Goldsberry, 40 — $1,000,000 bond

The Major Crimes Unit credited assistance from the Crime Scene Unit, Fugitive Apprehension Division, and Allen County Sheriff’s Office in Lima, Ohio.
