TEXAS CITY — A 47-year-old Texas City man is facing multiple felony charges following an investigation into the reported theft of copper from an industrial site earlier this month, according to police.
The investigation began May 4 after Marathon GBR reported a felony copper theft from a secured lay-down yard on company property, officials said.
According to the Texas City Police Department, detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigations and Crime Suppression Unit worked alongside Marathon GBR’s security team during the investigation.

Authorities said the investigation led to the arrest of Collins Tully, 47, of Texas City.
Police said Tully was charged with state jail felony theft of property and third-degree felony fraudulent use of identification. Bond was set at $60,000 for each charge, according to officials.
The department said coordination between investigators and the company’s security team helped lead to the arrest.
