LEAGUE CITY — League City Police Department officers arrested a 19-year-old La Marque man Monday following a vehicle pursuit that ended in a crash and foot chase through parts of League City and Friendswood, according to authorities.
Police identified the suspect as Jorden Lusk, 19, of La Marque.
According to investigators, the incident began around 3:08 p.m. after an officer observed a black Chevrolet Malibu traveling 56 mph in a posted 30 mph school zone along West Main Street.
Authorities said the driver fled when officers attempted a traffic stop, leading police on a pursuit through several roadways and parking lots before crossing into Friendswood.

Police said the chase ended near the 3100 block of West Bay Area Boulevard when the vehicle crashed into a landscaped area at The Reserve at Autumn Creek Apartments.
Investigators said Lusk then fled on foot into the apartment complex before officers took him into custody following a brief foot pursuit. Officers with the Friendswood Police Department assisted in the arrest.
Authorities said officers later recovered a Glock 23 handgun equipped with an extended magazine from inside the vehicle.
Lusk was charged with evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, unlawful carrying of a weapon and evading arrest or detention on foot, according to police.
